The car for a club car I was thinking of was the "Ninco 1" car.

If newcomers want something to buy as a starter, though a bit slow !!

yes i understand what you are saying graham, but thats because we are used to higher powered cars but anyone just starting will feel better if they can get round at a fair pace without coming off the track. then as they get more confident they can then modify. i am sure we are all going to find out once the track is finished how hard these things are to control again till we get our eye in. Better get the bottles of superglue in  .

Got the superglue sorted already Ady,needed enough before but reckon now it's gonna be a bank loan cos it aint arf gone up.Think I might form wire cages around me motor's for the first few attempt's cos the eyes are gonna be working overtime with the extra length on the track and the voices have already started calling to me.Faaaaaaaster,faaaaaaaster,you old duffer.

Just been reading that the Moseley Slot Car Club have discussed the Ninco 1 and said that by the time they have fitted a decent motor the price is over 40 pounds. May be worth looking for a better car ??!!

Ran a Ninco 1  round yesterday and it is SSLLOOWW.

Good for a first try round, but much more impressed with an inline slot.it, proably worth the extra 10 euros....??

On our first meeting many favoured the NSR Clio. A very fast and stable car.

Just had a long chat with my old mate John.

He thought a Slot.it might be a good way to go, and then after a time, allow a motor change, so same car but perhaps a different class.

Whaddyathink ?

Unfortunately John is again looking for a new venue for his track.

A Gt classification could be a Slot.it with a Slot.it yellow endbell motor and sponge tyres (Scaleauto SC 2007) and a Slot.it wood guide.
We all have slot-it cars?

This should give some consistency and may avoid some dispondency with new members.

Tyres are so variable and need special attention, whereas the sponge (foam) tryes are glued and trued already. Change wheels and race!
